LuxoSilk develops silk scarves from your artwork, measurements or reference sample. The shape and fabric suit how the scarf will be folded, tied or draped. Cutting, sewing, edge finishing and packing take place at our independently operated factory in China.

Custom Prints, Borders and Logos

Digital printing adds your artwork to the silk as an all-over pattern, border or logo, scaled and oriented to the scarf’s finished dimensions.

Pattern Scale and Direction
Artwork sized and oriented for the scarf’s top or ends. A square design may need a new layout for a narrow scarf.
Borders and Logos
Border width and logo distance from the finished edge allow for cutting and hemming before the artwork is finalized.
Print Colors
Colors based on named references or a physical sample. The selected silk affects the result, so screen colors are only a guide.
Front and Back
The two faces of a printed scarf may differ in color and appearance. Any requirements for the reverse need early review.

Rolled Hems, Labels and Gift Packaging

Edge options include hand rolling, machine hemming, fringe and overlocking, depending on the fabric and design. Brand details extend to labels, bags and gift boxes.

A narrow, rounded edge, with the roll visible on the chosen face of the scarf.
Machine-Hemmed Edges
Machine-hemmed borders and corners, with a specified stitch appearance and thread color.
Fringe and Overlocking
Fringe or overlocking on specified edges, where suitable for the fabric. The design allows for changes to the finished dimensions.
Labels and Gift Boxes
Label placement and gift packaging depend on how the scarf folds, where the logo shows and how it fits in the box.

Plain Weave, Twill and Printed Silk

Plain weave and twill describe fabric structure. Digital printing adds patterns and colors to a suitable silk fabric.

Scarf Finishing and Quality Checks

We use the approved sample and artwork to inspect cutting, dimensions, stitching, borders, corners, labels and packing. Color is compared with the agreed reference. Any colorfastness tests and acceptance criteria are agreed for the selected fabric and design.

Fabric weight, silk grade and finish describe different aspects of a scarf fabric.

12, 16, 19 or 22 Momme Silk

Momme measures fabric weight. We agree the weave and 12, 16, 19 or 22 momme weight before sampling. Swatches show drape and feel; heavier silk does not suit every fold or knot, or guarantee better finishing.

6A Silk and “Slip”

6A describes silk grade. “Slip” needs a specific fabric reference for comparison. Weave, weight and finish shape the feel, so a swatch tells more than the label alone.

Which silk scarf styles can you customize?

We make square scarves, long scarves, shawls and skinny scarves with your dimensions, fabric, prints, edge finishes, logos and packaging. Silk weights include 12, 16, 19 and 22 momme. The weave and weight are specified together, with a drawing or reference sample setting the proportions.

Can one design work across different scarf styles?

Yes. Brands, retailers and gift buyers can create a coordinated range, with a layout for each shape. A square design may need cropping or repositioning for long or skinny scarves. Identify which motifs and logos should show when folded or tied, then approve each style’s dimensions and artwork before sampling.

Are scarf sizes measured before or after hemming?

After hemming. Different finishes use different amounts of fabric, so cutting and edge allowances are agreed separately before finalizing artwork. Your drawing should show units, finished border width and logo distance from the edge. The finished sample establishes size, alignment, corners, stitching and which face shows the hand-rolled edge. Review that edge before approving labels and packaging. Packing approval covers label position, the folded scarf, logo visibility and box fit.

What are the MOQ and production time for silk scarves?

The reference MOQ is 500–1,000 scarves per style and color. We assess quantities, including smaller orders, by design, size and colorway. Smaller orders may cost more per scarf. Sample fees and timing depend on the design. Bulk production takes an estimated 20–30 days, depending on specifications, quantity and scheduling.

What do you need for a printed scarf sample?

Send AI, PDF, PSD or high-resolution artwork with finished dimensions, orientation, motif scale, border and logo positions. Include color references, weave, momme, edge finish, reverse-side requirements, quantities and packaging details. Compare swatches for texture, drape and show-through before choosing the print base. Before production, approve the printed fabric and finished scarf: color, fine lines and lettering, both faces, alignment, bulk when folded and artwork visibility when worn. Screen previews cannot show the final fabric surface or reverse of the print.
