LuxoSilk develops and makes silk bonnets at its independently operated factory in China. Designs can follow your drawing or reference bonnet, with the shape, band and layers adapted to the intended head sizes and hairstyles.

Custom Bonnet Sizes and Fit
We customize the bonnet’s shape and size from your measurements or reference sample. The body provides room for hair; the band fits around the head. A tighter band cannot make up for a bonnet that is too small.

Custom depth and width for the intended hairstyle and hair volume. - Opening Size
A custom relaxed opening, with stretch or adjustment suited to the intended head sizes. - Band Width
Custom band width and position at the hairline, with circumference and tension matched to the fit. - Shape and Proportions
Your drawing or reference guides the shape, with separate sizing for the body and opening.
Silk Fabrics and Layer Options
Our bonnets use 19 or 22 momme silk in single or double layers. Double-layer designs can have separate fabric weights and colors inside and out. Momme describes each fabric’s weight; layer count describes the construction.
- Single-Layer Bonnets
One layer forms the bonnet body, with the fabric’s inner face and seam finish against the hair. - Double-Layer Bonnets
Two layers with separate material, weight and color specifications, joined at the band. - Inner Finish
A smooth interior, with attention to seams, labels and embroidery backing against the hair or forehead. - Reversible Designs
A double-layer bonnet is not automatically reversible. We assess designs for two-sided wear before sampling.
Custom Colors, Embroidery and Packaging
The body, band and inner layer can have different colors, with custom embroidery, brand labels and packaging.

Elastic, Adjustable and Wide Bands
The opening affects how the bonnet goes on and stays in place. Band width, elasticity and adjustability can be combined to suit the design.
Elastic Bands
The opening stretches to fit and returns toward its relaxed size. Its dimensions and tension are developed for the intended head sizes.

A broader band creates a different look and contact area at the hairline. Width, position and tension work together; width alone does not prevent slipping.

Bonnet Sewing and Finishing
Our cutting and sewing checks cover shape, dimensions, seams and bands against the approved sample, including a rounded bonnet body, even elasticity and a smooth interior. Final inspection covers embroidery, labels, packaging and quantities against the order.

Silk weight, finish and certification each describe a different aspect of the fabric.
19 or 22 Momme per Layer
Momme measures fabric weight, not layer count. We agree the weave and 19 or 22 momme weight for each layer before sampling. Swatches show drape and feel; heavier silk alone does not guarantee better fit or finishing.

6A Silk and “Slip”
6A describes silk grade; “Slip” needs a specific fabric reference. Weave, weight and finish affect the feel, so swatches make the comparison clearer.

LuxoSilk works to reduce cutting waste and sort offcuts by material. OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 covers testing for harmful substances within the certificate’s scope. Certification for a project depends on the selected materials and valid documents.
