Headband Shapes, Widths and Prints
Front details, widths and print placement can be customized. The band and elastic section have separate dimensions that determine the fit.
Front Shape
Wide, twisted or bow fronts, with custom feature placement and dimensions. The decorative detail is sized separately from the band.
Finished Width
The front, sides beside the ears and back can have different widths, with tapering where specified.
Circumference and Fit
Band dimensions developed for your target head size range, with an agreed method for relaxed and stretched measurements during sample approval.
Silk and Elastic
16 or 19 momme silk with a separately specified elastic component. Silk weight describes the fabric, not how far the finished band stretches.
Print Placement
Custom artwork scale and direction, with motifs positioned for the finished fold, twist or bow. A front detail can hide part of a print.
Assortment and Packing
Colors and prints across your chosen styles, plus logo placement and individual or gift-set packing. Order quantities count headband pieces.

Wide Bands, Twists and Bows
16 or 19 momme silk can form a wide, flat band or a fuller, gathered front. Folds and joins affect thickness and print visibility, which are best judged on the assembled shape.
- Wide Front
A custom front width with tapering where specified. The shape beside the ears matters as much as the flat outline. - Twist Position
A central or off-center twist, with a defined crossing point. Balance, thickness and the fabric visible on each side shape its appearance. - Bow Proportions
The bow is sized separately from the band, with its own width and position. Sample review covers attachment and how it holds its shape during handling. - Fabric Weight
16 or 19 momme silk, assessed in the actual folds and seams. The selected appearance and thickness form part of the final sample specification.
Head Size and Elastic Fit
Head size and finished band circumference differ because of the construction and elastic tension. Your target head size range and measurement diagram guide development. The assembled sample must fit the intended wearers before you approve its dimensions.
- Finished Measurements
Finished circumference and flat measurements are recorded separately, with relaxed dimensions and an agreed method for measuring stretch. - Elastic Section
Custom elastic position and length, matched to the fabric cover. Gathers should spread evenly when worn. - Wearing Fit
Pressure, movement and front-detail position affect the fit on different head sizes. Sample approval includes wearing the band as well as measuring it. - Shape After Stretching
Fit approval includes the band’s return to its agreed dimensions and shape after stretching. Any change is recorded before production.
Colors, Prints and Seams
Custom colors, prints and logos are developed for the finished headband shape. Twists and bows may hide parts of a motif. Construction includes concealed seams, even elasticity and flat edges; the sample needs review from the front, back and inside before approval.
- Color and Artwork
Color references guide the shade; print files define scale and direction. A motif can have a specified position or run as an unrestricted repeat. - Folds and Motifs
Folds and joins change what remains visible. A central symbol, stripe or text needs approval on the assembled band, not just the flat artwork. - Seams and Edges
Concealed joins and flat edges finish the band, including its inside surface. Sample review covers unwanted bulk at contact points around the front detail and elastic attachments. - Logo and Presentation
Logo size and placement follow the finished shape. Review packaging with the headband inside to see how it holds and displays the front detail.

Sports-style designs are assessed for your activity and wearing conditions. Sweat-wicking and non-slip properties need separate specifications and verification; the style name does not establish performance.

Headband Sewing and Quality Checks
We check cutting, stitching, elastic assembly and finishing against the approved sample, including dimensions, front-detail position, seams, prints, labels and packing quantities. Measurement methods and agreed tolerances are recorded before production so width, circumference and elastic fit are assessed consistently.
Silk Weight, Finish and Responsible Production
Silk weight and elastic stretch describe different parts of a headband.
16 or 19 Momme Silk
Headbands use 16 or 19 momme silk, with weave and weight agreed before sampling. Momme measures fabric weight, not the band’s stretch. A swatch shows drape and feel; heavier silk alone does not mean a better fit or finish.

6A Silk and “Slip”
6A describes silk grade. “Slip” needs a specific fabric reference for comparison. Weave, weight and finish shape the feel, so a swatch tells more than the label alone.

OEKO-TEX and Sustainability
LuxoSilk works to reduce cutting waste and sort offcuts by material. OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 covers testing for harmful substances within the certificate’s scope. Certification for a project depends on the selected materials and valid documents.
